HSA
Home and School Association

 Dear Parents:

Welcome to the Home and School Association!  This organization was established by our school with the objectives of advancing Catholic education, promoting the welfare of our children and encouraging a high standard of family life.  We hope to accomplish this through the coordination and promotion of parent-teacher activities and encouragement of the role of parents in school related activities. The association includes all school parents, teachers, Father Murphy, Ms. Sweeney and Mrs. Picazo-Roque.

In order to accomplish these objectives, each family is required to complete 30 participation hours (20 in a single family household) throughout the school year.  Participation hours may be earned in numerous ways, ranging from direct involvement in school activities (Liaison Committees, Field Day, etc.) as well as after school and evening activities (Festival, Dad’s Club, etc.). This guide includes a summary, which lists these activities as well as procedures and deadlines for reporting participation hours.

At Our Lady of the Lakes, we believe that parental involvement in your child’s school experience is critical.  We hope that your participation in Home and School Activities will be a rewarding experience for you, your child and the school.

 Sincerely,

Our Lady of the Lakes

Home and School Association

and counting money during this ten day fundraiser sponsored by the Home and School Association for its 2001/2002 expenses.

Dad’s Club Golf Tournament-  Golfers may enjoy playing golf at the Dad’s Club Golf Tournament on Friday, May 10, 2002. Volunteers may help organize the tournament during evenings and weekends prior to the event.   Call Rafael Sanchez if you would like to sponsor this event!

Christmas Show-   Many  parents are needed to help organize our annual Christmas play.  Volunteers are needed in areas ranging from costume preparations to setting up for the actual production.  Clean up volunteers are also in demand!

Dad’s Club Meeting-            These meetings are held every third Thursday of the month at  7:30 P.M. in the Parish Hall. They offer a great opportunity to meet other parents and become informed and involved in school events.  Parents will also earn one participation hour for every meeting they attend.  All Dads are welcome!
