Mrs. Rose Cabrera was born in Miami, Florida.  She attended St. Michael the Archangel Catholic School and St. Brendan's High School.  She later went to the University of Miami where she received her Bachelor's degree, and then continued on to Florida International University to obtain a Master's degree.

She became a teacher, because she wanted to share her knowledge and love of the English language with others.  "Hopefully" she says, "the seeds that I plant today will grow to be very fruitful and bountiful trees tomorrow."

She enjoys working here at Our Lady of the lakes School because of the general work atmosphere.  She explains that it is a pleasure to come to work and see the smiling faces of the children at OLL.  It doesn't always feel like "work" when you enjoy what you do every day.

Mrs. Cabrera's hobbies include making scrapbooks as well as journal writing in her free time.
