2018 Give Miami Day

Dear Parents, Parishioners and Friends of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic School.

Thank you for your overwhelming support of our students and our school during the 2018 Give Miami Day. In a short 24-hour period, your enthusiastic generosity brought us a total of $17,875.00 from 227 gifts. Through your generosity, we will continue to cover the cost of police and security personnel presence at our school and pay for the new A/C units for the Gym/Cafetorium.

Your family will be in our daily prayers. Thank you for supporting Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic School where we continue to educate this generation of children for our country and for our Church.

Thank you and Blessings,

Ricardo Briz, Principal
Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic School

Archdiocese of Miami – Office of the Archbishop

November 18, 2018

Dear Friends in Christ:
As an archdiocese, we will soon take up the national collection for the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD). Your support to this collection brings change to communities across the country and empowers those living in poverty to transform the places they live into reflections of the Kingdom of God. Your support goes a long way in creating communities that are more just and welcoming to those who live trapped in the cycle of poverty. In addition to making an impact nationally, those living in poverty in our own diocese are empowered through the 25 percent share of the collection that stays here.

Vocation Cup

We thank the following families for hosting the Vocation Cup this past week:

The Borrego Family
The Batista Family

The Vocation Blessing Cup is a wonderful instrument of prayer and devotion for our parish families. The Cup reminds each host family that it is their responsibility to pray for and foster vocations to the priesthood and religious life. A family is asked to host the Vocation Cup for one week. It will travel from home to home as a sign of our total parish commitment to praying for vocations.

Seeking Volunteers for the Vocation Cup

Bringing home the vocation cup is a wonderful opportunity to unite any family in prayer, bringing them closer to God and to each other while praying for vocations.

If you and your family would like to volunteer to take home the vocation cup for one week, please fill out the information below and turn it into the rectory office or drop it in the offertory basket.

Thank you for your support!
